President’s Message
Welcome to Valley of the Mist Quilter’s Guild website. Please get a cup of coffee or tea and sit back and browse through and enjoy yourself. Better yet, join us at our next meeting; we always have room for more quilters. Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at the Community Recreation Center on Rancho Vista Road in Temecula. We have numerous Guest Speakers throughout the year as well as Show & Tell, Door Prizes, charm squares, monthly mini quilts, block of the month, merchandise table, a library and much more.
We are a Guild of approximately 70+ members in the Temecula/Murrieta Valley, located north east of San Diego, California off the 15 Freeway. We actively support our community by making quilts for the military wounded, for babies and for HUGS, which is a local non-profit foster organization that assists foster families. We have also made donations to breast cancer and disaster relief agencies.
The Guild sponsors the Old Town Temecula Quilt Show every year. If you haven’t been to this area be sure to mark your calendar’s to visit us the first Saturday in October. There will be over 200 quilts hanging from various buildings throughout Old Town Temecula. This is a free quilt extravaganza which you will not want to miss. A large and small quilt auction will take place as well as a Guest Speaker, and this year we are adding quilts for sale from wonderful artists in our Guild.
